Top 10 tips for designing bilingual documents
Hoffi has produced this bilingual check list for English speakers in order to aid the production of bilingual documents using common software applications, such as Microsoft Word. Sometimes it is not convenient to cover all the points we've mentioned or there may be limitations from the software application used.

Baskerville, Times and News gothic are just a selection of typefaces that work well when applying typography to bilingual documents. Using the same typeface throughout a document’s languages will make them appear equal. When displayed together a clear distinction should be adopted. Colour is a popular method of distinction between languages, but requires equal importance in terms of accessibility using contrast and colour selections appropriately for users with color vision deficiency.
